When it comes to compare the prices, dates, services offers in a package trip, here are some tips to avoid disappointments, or even worse !
Every agency, associations, or independant workers selling various services and products included in a package, is obliged to abide by the law of 22 July 2009 from Code du Tourisme :
- It needs to have a number immatriculation given by Atout France, and mention it clearly. This number will guarantee you that the organizing structure has its own insurance « organisation » and bank guarantee.
In case of conflicts or problems, these commitments protect the consumer.
The references of this insurance and bank guarantee needs to appear on every communication documents (technical sheets, selling contract..).
- Check the legal status of your future organizer (Association law 1901, society travel agency, ...) and the clear membership of its headoffice and members who compose this structure.
- Take care not to confuse "all included" with "almost all included". An attractive price can be imply disappointments (ski-lifts, pack lunches, transfers,…)!
A serious company must respect duties and obligations. It must pay Taxes (VAT on benefit, income tax of VAT, CFE,…), and must have strict accounting records, a proper insurance cover.
In brief, your project needs to be prepared carefully to avoid possible annoyances…
