Ski touring - Initiation
From the index cable car in Chamonix, in the Aiguilles rouge area, you will learn the basics facing a wonderful panorama, all the Mont Blanc range in front of you!
Initiation to DVA research technics, learning conversions and how to walk with skins....

Accessible for skiers with god skiing abilities (Min level 3) especially in off piste skiing with good general shape.

Meeting at 9h front the cable car "la flégère ". You first take the ski lift before taking the chairlift up to 2396m. From here, your guide will explain you how to put the skis on, how to put the seal skins, what the knives are used for, and once everybody is ready you forts ski tour up to Lac Blanc and then up to Col de Belevedere going up the valley. Keep some strengths for the descent, the technics are different from alpine ski! Return in the Valley at the end of the afternoon, by ski or taking the gondola, according to snow conditions and one’s motivation!

PERSONAL EQUIPMENTTechnical equipment - Ski touring shoes. - A pair of touring skis with skins and knives. - A pair of skiing sticks (not collapsible ones would be better). - A comfortable mountaineering backpack (30L) that you can fix your skis onto. Individual equipment - 1L thermos bottle. - A warm hat. - A sun hat and/or a scarf. - Sun glasses for glacier, cat. 3 or 4 sun protection that are closing well on the sides + ski goggle. - a pair of warm gloves. - a pair of fleece or wool gloves. - a pair of warm mittens. - 2 breathable undershirts, preferably long sleeves (e.g. Capilene or polypro) - Fleece or heavy jacket. - Down jacket (optional but highly appreciated if the weather turns very cold). - wind and waterproof shell jacket with hood (Gore Tex or similar). - a pair of comfortable mountaineering pants. - wind and waterproof over pants (Gore Tex or similar). - long underwear or running tights (e.g. Capilene or polypro). - 2 pairs of warm socks. - gaiters. Insurance multirisks/cancellation : research, rescue and assistance compulsory. - Ski lifts for l'Index (28€ return)

All our partners (mountain guide, ski instructor ,paragliding instructor, rafting instructor,..) are all independant workers. When you book a professional, he books his time for the activity you book. In case of cancellation or no show, the cancellation fees are those ones : 3 days before activity ----------------- 0 € cancellation fees From 2 days to the evening before actvity at latest 16h ----- 30% of total amount After ------------------------------------- 100 % of total amount In case of bad weather conditions, complete refund of the amount.
